- Lead support teams comprised of Infrastructure Support Engineers and Infrastructure Support Engineers in resolution of software, hardware, operational, and application problems through escalation.
- Provide technical training and turnover to support and provisioning teams. Build leading edge integration solutions.
- Leverage Middleware and Server technologies. Implement technology solutions using MQ in multi-instance queue manager environments.
- Build solutions for applications using the pub / sub model. Implement MQ / MB design solutions for large projects and initiatives. Build, deploy, and monitor solutions.
- Perform administration activities to install, configure, and administer MQ / MB environments that are highly available.
- Develop best practices through collaboration across the organization and with key vendor partners. Construct solutions per Target Technology standards and best practices.
- Ensure infrastructure and application stability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, identifying, and implementing long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with Teams to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build, implementation, and support processes.
- Implement software Life Cycle Management Strategy for supported platforms. License and version activities related to the Integration suite of tools.
- Follow change management standards and best practices for all software implementations and modifications to the environment.
- Follow standard project management disciplines for platform-drive initiatives. Tools and Technologies Used: IBM MQ, IBM MB, IBM WebSphere, Unix Shell Scripting, Java, and Middleware.
Requirements
This position requires a U.S. baccalaureate or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Programmer or Systems Analyst with no less than three years of experience using IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker, Middleware, and Unix Shell Scripting technologies.
