- Understand and create business requirements for reporting and database solutions based on requirements from WFM.
- Develop innovative analytical solutions that help support WFM initiatives and solve for complex business problems.
- Validate and verify the reporting and database solutions developed by the team to meet business needs prior to delivering to the business.
- Analyze proposed projects for feasibility, effort and provide alternatives, when necessary, for development.
- Provide consistent communication regarding progress made on projects and ensure any issues are escalated proactively.
- Mine complex data sets in search for trends/patterns to identify key areas of focus.
- Build relationships with business users, end users, peers and management.
- Work on multiple projects as assigned by WFM team.
- Collaborate with partners to understand the business problem and define the strategy for solving the problem.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Computer Science/MIS/Engineering or related area or Masters in quantitative disciplines with a degree in Economics/Statistics/Business administration/Operations Research
- Overall 3-5years of experience with 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, reporting and development
- Strong working knowledge of extracting and building reports on various programming foundation in multiple languages (Microsoft tools such as Access, Excel and PowerPoint, SQL and SAS)
- Proven experience in relational database management systems (Tables, Indexes, SQL, joins - inner/outer, grouping, sorting, filtering, etc).
- Knowledge of data structures (arrays, vectors, trees, lists, queues, etc), control structures and modular programming (Functions, Procedures, variables, etc).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Solve or improve business problems/process that are scalable and repeatable
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy and continuous innovation of reporting tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast changing environment
- Desire and aptitude to learn
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience working with international teams
