About This Opportunity
• Responsible for ensuring incoming product meets Target and USDA quality standards through physical inspection of produce and fruits and temperature verification on all products
• Check expiration date on packaged goods, meats and supports audits as determined by supervisor
• Maintain product inventory and dating standards through audits, reports and cycle counts
• Monitor expiration date rotation and integrity to ensure product quality
• Physically and systematically adjust inventory based on damage and quality reports
• Processes and documents damaged, expired, and rejected products on the receiving dock
• Execute daily Mark out of Stock (MOS) activities to ensure the proper disposition of damaged/expired product
• Communicates with Headquarters for disposition of compromised product
• Communicate research and rectify all quality and inventory related discrepancies with supervisor and building partners
• Support and troubleshoot item attribute related issues (i.e. VCP, Ti x Hi, Cubiscan)
• Operate various warehouse equipment and tools (i.e. forklift, knives, thermometers, etc.)
• Additional duties as assigned by department supervisor, which may include special projects
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Able to read and interpret various correspondence, reports, labels, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to use personal computer, copy machine, 10 key and other office equipment as needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong prioritizing, organization, problem solving and decision making skills
• Interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of the organization, internally and externally
• 2 or 4 year degree strongly preferred
