About This Opportunity

 

 Ensure the protection of Target team members, physical assets and corporate facilities—and help make our Assets Protection team the fastest, smartest and most effective in the industry.

Supports Stores Assets Protection efforts to reduce shortage. Assists in developing and maintaining programs and processes to support shortage reduction efforts.  Partners with AP Field teams, SRA, IAA, Store Operations and Profit Protection teams to resolve issues and improve processes that lead to shortage. Ensures Store Assets Protection strategies are being executed and contributing to reducing shortage. Supports or leads projects as directed by supervisor.

·         Helps evaluate emerging risks and market trends, both operational and theft that can impact Assets Protections initiatives to reduce shortage.

  • Leverage process knowledge to identify shortage opportunities, uncover root causes, and propose solutions.
  • Works with key partners and supervisor to develop and maintain shortage reduction strategies and tools for stores.
  • Partners with Store Operations on new and existing processes that can impact shortage results.
  • Utilizes data to evaluate and provide recommendations on shortage strategies. Compiles necessary data to provide guidance and measure performance of existing strategies and tactics.
  • Supports field teams with single store or market shortage issues.
  • Supports new and existing shortage reduction projects, including planning, executing and measuring results.

·         Demonstrates the ability to support or lead projects, including meeting objectives and timelines, while achieving results

Requirements

·         Four year Bachelor’s degree

·         Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills

·         Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

·         Strong self- motivator able to execute tasks

·         Strong inter-personal and networking skills

·         Ability to work effectively in teams

·         Strong organization and planning skills

·         Ability to work in and define ambiguity/gray areas

·         Outstanding ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and tasks

·         Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines

·         Ability to manage in a fast paced environment

·         Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships

·         Computer skills:  Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

·         Advanced Degree

·         Retail experience in Assets Protection or Stores

·         Knowledge of store process and financial concepts
