About This Opportunity


Join the Target Commercial Interiors team, where you can lead design, project management, installation, facility and asset-management services for commercial customers. Use your skills and expertise to provide customized office furnishings and design services to organizations both large and small.

Creates design solutions and specifications for all or part of projects as assigned by the Vice President of Design, a Design Lead or a Senior Designer. Project scopes may range from a small, single office layout to large complex projects in the following vertical markets including, but not limited to corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality and sporting facilities. Work to assure that all projects result in a win for the client, a win for TCI, and a win for TCI Team Members.

Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As a Senior Interior Designer you’ll take the lead as you?

- Develop functional and creative design solutions that meet the client’s requirements, aesthetic and budget
- Apply knowledge of design trends, code requirements and appropriate product applications when developing design solutions
- As required by the project, execute any or all phases of the design process including, programming, schematic design, design development and contract documents
- Create computer generated Design documents including design intent drawings, space plans, furniture typicals, furniture plans, installation documents, 3D views and rendered images to communicate and document design solutions
- Participate in key project meetings including Opportunity Kick Off meeting, Quote Finalization Meeting, Pre-Order Meeting, Pre-Installation Meeting, and Punch Meeting. Assist or lead the effort in writing Design contracts and additional service contracts for Design services
- Meet project deadlines and keep accurate records of working time, additional service requests and reimbursable expenses specific to each project for billing purposes

Requirements

- 4 year interior design or Interior Architecture degree
- 7+ years interior design industry experience, preferably with an office furniture dealership
- NCIDQ or State certification (within 2 years of reaching qualification and/or employment)
- Preferred proficiency at using current software including AutoCAD, Configura, Hedberg and Microsoft Office suite
