This tax professional will work on various aspects of the tax function including federal and state tax return preparation and tax research. This position will report to the Tax Specialists and Managers.

- Prepare all Federal, state and local income, franchise and license tax returns and work papers.
- Assist in preparation of tax provisions for quarterly and annual financial statements by preparing taxable income and state tax expenses calculations for assigned companies. Prepare a portion of the year-end final consolidated tax provision work papers and quarterly estimated tax payment calculations.
- Conduct tax research planning and analysis on a wide variety of federal and state and local tax issues. Prepare documentation of findings.
- Operate as a shared resource for all disciplines of income tax, having exposure to international, federal and state income tax.
- Assist in the tax return information gathering process including interaction with finance department and finance personnel at business units.
- Compile information necessary to respond to IRS IDRs.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting or related area.
- Two to four years of tax experience in large corporation tax department or equivalent in tax practice with a public accounting firm.
- Strong accounting, communication and negotiation skills.
- Personal computer experience. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
- Detail oriented
